Crime Tracking

We have found two websites that allow users to track recent crime reports in their neighborhoods. Both present basically the same data in slightly different formats, so use the one you like best:

Crime Reporting
There are now three ways to report crime in Albuquerque:

If in doubt, always call 911.

As a general set of guidelines, call 911:

  • If your life or your property is in danger or threatened.
  • For example, if you have an emergency and need police, fire or medic response.

Call 242-COPS (2677), Albuquerque police non-emergency line:

  • If your life or property are not in immediate danger.
  • For example, if you need an officer to take a report (e.g., stolen vehicle, burglary).

Call 311 to ask who to call or report other problems in the city.

Use the Suspected Crime Form Online, http://www.cabq.gov/police/prevention/prevention_form.html to inform the police of suspected crime in your area.

Crime Stoppers

Call 843-STOP (843-7867) if you have information about a crime or criminal and wish to remain anonymous. If an arrest is made, you will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
